A survey was performed as part of the development of the project named “Wise Teacher-Healthy Child. Courses for teachers on dietetics and healthy nutrition of children and adolescents” (Acronym “WITH.CH”) approved in the context of the European Commission (Lifelong Learning Programme, Leonardo Da Vinci Subprogramme).
The purpose of the study was to assess the knowledge in nutrition and healthy lifestyles of a sample of faculty belonging to the six partners participating in the project; both personally and in the work environment level.

 

 

The population target of the study and the size of the sample (20-60 teachers per partner) were determined in the proposal of the project by its coordinator. The final size of the sample were 232 teachers. Poland recluted the biggest sample, with 59 valid questionaries, followed by Italy with 41, Spain and Romania with 40, United Kingdom 28 and Turkey 24.
